"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Just voted for the next president.

With my luck, I voted on the losing horse.

Wait, you have to do taxes? In the UK, they come out your bank account automatically IIRC.

Taxes get withheld from your paycheck here, but you still have to prepare them at the beginning of each year so you can take advantage of deductions and report other earnings from investments and whatnot.

I'm actually going to get a little money back this year.

Today Portuguese people are voting for the next president. I got up early and went voting, it's actually the first time I'm voting for the presidential elections. I believe I have voted in the rightest person for the job. Then I went to the coffee shop, drank some coffee, smoked a cigarette and went to the mall to buy lunch. I drank a glass of wine while having lunch and cooked it myself. Spaghetti with meatballs. Now I'm just relaxing in my bed and surfing the web.

Speaking of which ...the other day I mentioned mine came home with a face full of cream.
Since then, his tail is weeping half way and won't go up!

I'm thinking, wherever he was, they chased him out of their house and closed a door on his tail...
Going to the vet tomorrow. Lil bastard might have half a tail soon.

Oh, no!! Sad

My Rudy had a tail accident when he was just a couple years old and how he's missing the end 4" or so of his tail - it was such a long, expressive tail too Sad

And my cat Linder (before my family got him) had a tail accident and they chopped it all the down by his butt.

I hope your guy's tail is okay!

As for today, Rudy decided that the best way to get me out of bed to feed him at 5:30 this morning was to knock a glass of water off the shelf next to my bed and all over the stack of books there. The little turd. Dodgy Amazingly, out of the nine books that were stacked there, only two suffered any damage, and the damage they have is relatively minor - some warping of between 1/4 and 1/2 of the pages on only one edge of either book.

This is why I can't put things on the horizontal surfaces in my bedroom and why my alarm clock has to be secured to my nightstand. Because Rudy is a turd.
