Are you using a mouse or a pad? If it's a pad, it could be to do with "gesturing". Like my computer has one where removing your finger from the pad can count as a click, and I get "phantom clicks" all the time that I don't mean. I used the control panel to turn gesturing off, as I just found it annoying. That stopped the phantoms. The only gesture I kept is scrolling up/down using the right of the pad.

I finally figured out what a "bum fraction" is. It's a phrase I've heard myself saying lately.

Each cheek is half a bum! It's been staring me in the face. And you can draw lines on to further subdivide.
