The day is almost halfway over for me.

I had a delicious meal, and now I'm feeling drowsy, watching 'the Deadliest Catch', sipping a cup of green jasmine tea, getting ready for bed, since I have work tomorrow.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Reading up on installing Windows 7 on Xen using Linux Mint as Dom0. I wanted to run Linux Mint Debian edition, but my netbook is best supported under Linux Mint 13 "Maya" so I went with that so I wouldn't have to duplicate learning on two different versions. I'll install a seperate *nix for my desktop, possibly LMDE, but likely just another copy of Maya, for the same reason. What I'm reading is there are special driver shims to allow better running of Windows under Xen, so things are looking good. However, I need to get that done, and install a prototype box with Plex and Playon media servers on it by bedtime tonight. I don' wanna. ![]()

Do you guys think Loli-chan will stick with her new username this time?
Where to begin? My little Tacoma truck got accordioned last night by an SUV with the largest bumper I've ever seen on a civilian vehicle. My front bumper looks like spaghetti, the chassis is wrapped around a front wheel, my front turn signal is dangling and my license is embedded in the hood. I'm fine. Both dogs are fine. The other guy's vehicle has a dimple on the corner of that front bumper smaller than a nickle. (If you weren't looking, you wouldn't see it.) Oh well, at least the other company has conceded their client's responsibility.
Today we went on a field trip to the Exploratorium in San Francisco. A huge new facility with a mile of walking to get to public transportation and then to the museum, the same coming back. Then another mile to walk to the car rental place to get some wheels. Three hundred 8th graders. Coming back, we were packed into those B.A.R.T. cars tighter than canned sardines. But I've got the greatest bunch of students ever and the mother of one of them came with us and she was a lot of fun. Eighth-graders are hilarious. They have the emerging capacity for logic of an adult combined with an incapacity to avoid lapsing into their not-so-inner child. My kind of people. Now my dogs are looking at me beseechingly but my feet are saying no frigging way. Gin and tonic time. I'm done. |
