I'm going to a retro gaming convention tomorrow in Margate. How awesome! I went last year, it was so much fun. I hope they have another Street Fighter tournament. Although if it's SF5, I'll be going in blind.

I'm off to the salt mines. I hate working short on the weekend.
*Sigh*
If I don't make it back; Goodbye everyone. It was lovely knowing you all.
Most of you, anyway. Or many of you, rather.
Oh, never mind.

Don't stress over work Thena. Nothing's gonna happen. Unless of course you get pulled over by some cops on the way there! hehe (Don't go for your license for God's sake!)

Y U trollin?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

I'm contemplating how I reckon that at least sometimes complacency and taking things for granted is the enemy of taking care and making a conscious effort. And I feel like good people with good intentions can succumb to it.
I think I need to work on being more conscientious and less analytical. I think I need to work on being more sociable and less philosophical and I think I need to work on listening to the explanations of others more and less on my own explanations. I think my degree of self-expression is fine as it is provided that I am more receptive to the expressions of others.
I think it's important not just to listen to others, but also to show them that I am listening.
I think I need to focus more on being sympathetic and understanding towards people and less on trying to reassure people. I think sometimes giving reassurance can come across as being dismissive. Of course if a friend comes to me asking for reassurance that's another matter. I think although how I am deep down and what is inside matters, I think how I come across matters too.
