Planning my trip to Jackson Falls this evening with the Nanners.
A little hike down to the falls, he loves it there. It needs to not be 94 degrees first.

Trying to help an old friend out at the moment. Yuri (my sister-in-laws cat), has been staying with us for the last three months after his radiotherapy treatment and it is getting worse. I just cannot understand why they are keeping him alive (ok, he is walking around and doing his thing, but mostly sleeping whilst he can) simply because they don't want to euthanise him. No, we don't have dominion over animals however, euthanasia would be the most caring thing to do in the world. He has been infected, received injections and antibiotics to get rid of the infection, he has a better quality of life, then it starts all over again. My Sister in law recently had a cat that had cancer and we had him euthanisez because he was too far gone. She replaces him with another cat and everything was ok. Then Yuri developed a cancer in his mouth, and has been replaced by another kitten. So, with the SIL buying another kitten to accompany the other one, she has left Yuri with us. Don't get me wrong, I love animals (we have two cats of our own), but when a sick cat is hissed at or they give him a wide berth because of the smell (a horrendous deathly like smell coming from the mouth) then you just have to feel for him. Furthermore, I am the only one who gives 10 minutes of my own time just to talk to him or even call his name to let him know that someone cares.......I despair for the human race sometimes when they cannot get to grips with reality and won't do the decent thing.
