Waking up. My group therapy got canceled, so I only have Buddhist meditation tonight. I requested an interlibrary loan of the translation of The Brothers Karamazov that I want. I picked up a revised version of Garnett's translation at the library yesterday, so I'll start on that until the Oxford edition arrives at my library. It's between 800-1000 pages, and the book club is on the 23rd, so I have to get cracking. I think after this I'll tackle the final series of Thomas Covenant books. It's been so long since I read the first sets of books though, I've forgotten so much that I may be a little lost. Maybe I'll just start by re-reading the last of the series I read last time.

I need more haunts on the internet. I'm bad at surfing, get bored easily when I'm not pursuing a goal of some kind online, and am not a part of many forums.

Right now I have nothing to do at work and I'm bored. And feeling kind of nasally inflamed. Wondering if I'm about to get sick. (My coworker is sick and phlegm-coughing every 15-20 minutes and it's driving me bonkers.)

Basically I'm in a complaining kind of mood. I don't like being bored.

I find it hard to maintain interest in more than one forum. After I tire myself out on one forum, the motivation to go to another forum isn't there. I have another forum that I've haunted, then left, then haunted again, and left again. Since AF meets my needs, I find it hard to find the motivation to go there, even though I love the people, and they have some thread types that AF doesn't have which I like. I just can't maintain enough interest to support two forum habits. I post and read rather little nowadays, which is probably a sign of why this is, but it's unclear. So, I just come here, and participate in a limited fashion, and go away and focus on my slacker life style.

I've got 3 hours before I have to leave for meditation, and I should be reading, but I think I'll do my finances instead. I don't fully wake up enough to enjoy reading until late in the evening, and getting started with a new book is always the toughest part.

I swear the people with the heating thermostat for this floor in their apartment must be fucking with it. It's normally 72° F or so, it's 82° F now. I can't function when it's this hot. Bitch.
