RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Been an interesting sort of day. Couldn't get to sleep so I sat in bed watching Yes Prime Minister on my little portable DVD player, when I became aware of a loud, persistent, dull thudding sound through my headphones, like booming explosions in the distance. It put me in mind of some giant mechanical thing stomping about, pounding its feet into the ground. I found out much later that it was actually explosions from a fire at a battery recycling plant in nearby Darlaston, about three and a half miles away. Apparently the blasts could be heard from five miles away and it looked like this:

Anyway, I finally did drift off to sleep and I eventually woke after being visited by my Sam in a lovely little dream. It was like she had come back to me, either for good or just a visit I don't remember. I was telling her about what had happened and we spoke about my feelings and my intentions towards Shell; I remember asking her what she thought about it all and wanting her approval and advice. I just wish I could remember what she said, but apart from being sad with not being here for me, she seemed okay with what we said.

I feel the same way in the rare times that I dream about my mother. I love seeing her again, but then she's just as cruelly yanked away again.
Sitting in a used book store. Checking some things online. I checked my bank balance earlier today and I may end up short of funds toward the end of the month. I've been planning to go to a Vietnamese New Year celebration on the 25th, but it may take some juggling to find the money to go.

Hey guys, just a friendly word of advice, cake icing is terrible as lube. That is all.

That's like the dreams I still sometimes have in which Sam is okay and it's all been a horrible mistake; then I'll turn away for a moment or leave the room and she's gone again when I get back, leaving me totally distraught and searching everywhere for her. Or the one in which she was on a train and I was begging her not to go, and she was saying she doesn't want to but she must and I have to let her go.

Well, you're not the first to think of that!

And I have read, a few months ago, of a prototype screen that can make depth... I saw it applied to buttons on mobile phones and tablets, but braille would be a much more useful application of the technology.

Lol my bad, man. I must've missed it! I actually have a friend that could write the programming for a Braille application of that if the technology already exists! Then we'd just need to get BrokenQuill the technology itself! I think I'll start up a thread on it. I donate my photography printing rights to friends for these purposes. She's in the bunny club, after all

Live dead crumby chicken, steamed veggies and mashed potato.
Now you watch.... We have had our meal a little early so that the random phone call from family won't interrupt dinner....... No one will call :S
What, pray tell, is live dead crumby chicken?
I'm sitting here with new purple knitting needles in my hands, trying to figure out how to knit with some self help videos
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.

Stuck here for the night. Needed a locksmith to let me back in my condo. That shot down my going to my ward council meeting.
