If a female Emperor is an Empress, and a female Prince is a Princess, then why is a female King a Queen rather than a Kingess?

It seems likely that its because while the other words have Romance roots which simply put a female identifier on the male term, queen comes from Germanic roots which used a separate word entirely, one derived from the Old Germanic for wife.

Ya need to teach him how to play crazy Uno. Draw twos stack. But draw fours don't. It's fun and you'll need two decks of Uno cards.

Watching L.A. Galaxy vs. Orlando City SC. Taking a mental health day of sorts. I woke up and spent the early morning being really panicky about things. I didn't want to get stranded on the bus going to a soccer tourney, and a really didn't want to lock myself out, which happened a few days ago. That all kind of paralyzed me. It shouldn't, but it did. I have issues that I am working out. 

Speaking of which, I am also saving images I can use in a Soul Collage, if any of you have ever heard of that. Good way for me to self-explore.
