What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Up in the middle of the night playing around on the forum. I feel like cracking open another hard cider, but what I think I will do is go back to bed.

Coming from someone else, I would have taken it as just someone being friendly, but EP has a history of saying things in order to try to correct people. If I thought he was just trying be helpful and not trying to show me that I was wrong, I wouldn't have said anything.

I mean, how ridiculous would it be for me to tell him where to get food in Chișinău? I've never been there, I don't know the first thing about it, but I can sure search google about where to get some pho, I guess.

Agreed. However, many people know the stylists are students, therefore feel that's the reason they don't have to leave a tip. It's shitty, I know, but in retrospect, we aren't paid by the school as employees (we pay them for the education). Tips aren't required and people know that while all work is supervised by a licensed educator, there is always the chance the student will mess up. So really, people coming to the school are giving us the opportunity to gain experience. The student run salon charges minimal prices for services and oftentimes, we will get clients who live on a fixed income and they don't have the money for expensive salons. The facial I did last night would have cost well near $100 at a spa somewhere, not including a tip.

I have a friend coming today for her color retouch and no matter what, she always leaves me with a $20 tip, which is excellent for me.

Moments. They are precious.

As if there's a choice, huh, Alex?

In between posting, playing berimbau.
This recent escapee from TTA forums is on heavy drugs costing $25.000.00 per week. They affect my mind at times. Excuse me if I react out of the norm.

Let's get something straight. You mentioned not knowing where to get a type of food followed by your location. You never said why that is. I was perfectly justified in concluding you hadn't thought of googling restaurants in your area. If I had done the same thing you did, I would've retrospectively expected the same kind of help from others.

You don't get to decide what I mean. If you're bent on interpreting everything I say in the most despicable manner, that's your choice, and it isn't my fault. Go fuck yourself.

Let me ask you a question, Nymph: what is considered a "good tip" for a stylist? My girl comes to the house for us and does my hair (cut AND highlights), cuts my husband's and my son's hair, and only ever asks for like...120ish dollars. She works for Jean Paul and I know my hair alone with the color would be at least 200 bucks over there, so I know she is giving us an AMAZING break, plus the convenience of not having to go into the salon. We gave her $30.00 extra dollars the last time she came, but do you think that's enough?? I feel like it's not enough, but then I think, 'she could always charge us more if she wanted.' I've even TOLD her before to charge us more for all that work, but she just says 'no, no, it's fine.' What do you think?
