Kippered herring snacks; chicken flavored instant rice with added chicken flavor from bouillon, seasoned with fish sauce; Pepsi and winter roast coffee. (Fuckall, it's 85° F in here today. Time to open some windows.) ![]()
I'm prone to insomnia, so I'm of no help. But usually I sleep from 10:30pm to 5am.
Right now? Listening to Okkervil River, still trying to remember a song that I don't know the lyrics, or really the tune, to. Also, crockpotting some spanish sausage, chicken, and spinach, mostly from the Hillcrest Farmers Market from earlier today. Brought home a nice pulled pork wrap on a tomato tortilla with a Mexican Coke for lunch.

That won't be good... statistically speaking, sir.
Mine, on the other hand... ![]()
Excited that I have the day off from work tomorrow. I love holidays

Fucking coffee grounds. I try to be so careful but coffee grounds end up on everything in my kitchen. My walls, my floors, my drawers...
My ignore list
"The lord doesn't work in mysterious ways, but in ways that are indistinguishable from his nonexistence." -- George Yorgo Veenhuyzen quoted by John W. Loftus in The End of Christianity (p. 103). I hate computers. Windows activation keys on specific things in your computer to match an activated copy to the computer it's activated on. One of those things is your network adapter, so if you change the network adapter, even just to add a second one, it deactivates windows and gives you three days to reactivate. I was having networking issues, so I added a wireless network adapter. That caused windows to deactivate on the next reboot. So I click the wizard to have it activate over the net. No sale. When I rebooted, it forgot the wireless network I'd logged into previously and just picked an open network at random, which happened to be an open signal to a comcast wifi hotspot, which requires signing in to its home page to complete the connection. So I get that ironed out, and Windows activation fails to connect over the network. So after trying a few things, I cal Microsoft to manually activate my copy. The first thing I get is an automated system asking me to enter my "Installation ID" from the activation wizard. I look, and there's a clearly labeled space for the Installation ID, but it's completely blank. So I ask to be transferred to an operator. I get a foreigner with a thick accent, I acknowledge I'm using Windows XP, and he asks me for the Installation ID. I tell him there isn't one, and he starts giving me instructions on how to pull up the activation wizard based on the Windows 7 Start menu, which is different from the XP classic start menu. I inform him of this, and he just repeats telling me to open the activation wizard, which I've already told him is already open, using the wrong steps for my system. So, I humor him and reopen the wizard using the correct sequence of steps, and he asks me for my Installation ID again. I explain to him that it isn't displaying one, and he tells me he's going to transfer me to a paid service to help me resolve "my problem." I tell him to go fuck himself and hang up. I reboot into my last good hardware configuration, which doesn't help, only this time it does display an ID, so I call back and get it activated. Like I'm going to pay those incompetent assholes to fix their broken activation wizard. Fuck that. ![]() (January 19, 2014 at 3:13 pm)pocaracas Wrote: Adjusting the audio track of a DVDrip from a portuguese version of the smurfs 2 to match the duration of the brrip version I got in english... If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]()
