Got home from work today and I got a letter that informed me that I've been awarded another scholarship of a pretty substantial amount.
I'd received a bunch of scholarships when I graduated high school, if I hadn't, I wouldn't have been able to go to university. It's true that I worked hard for them, but it's important to know that no amount of hard work would have gotten me anywhere without this immense support from strangers or the government. I don't want to go too much into it, but my financial situation is pretty dire and it took a turn for the worse last September. So it's really hard to express the relief I felt when I read that letter today. These scholarships literally changed the course of my life for the better, I don't quite know what I'm trying to say, except that it's amazing how far the kindness of strangers can get you.
Pineapplebunny!! I haven't seen you in awhile! I'm glad you got your scholarship

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. ![]() Because I no longer qualify for financial aid, I was looking into alternative ways to finance my education before I lost my fingers, and one of the books suggested a patchwork of scholarships. Good for you! Reading your posts, it's clear you have a fine mind, and no doubt deserve every help that you've gotten. Code: 20:32 <tw> I still don't understand why teams don't approach the game by giving star players neck injuries by aggressive face masking. Sure, you get penalized a huge chunk, but second half you've got run of the field. My peeps on IRC chat love me sooooo much! Hehe. ![]() RE: What's everyone up to right now?
