Ugh, dreading tomorrow a bit. First teaching classes, then rushing the family to the funeral an hour from here. I'll be relieved when I'm in my bed tomorrow night.

Spent the afternoon outside doing carpentry, closing up the underside of My new front landing.
Currently doing clarinet things, and periodically checking on My kitteh Caramon, whom I suspect has reached his best-before date and may not be around much longer.

Caramon's had a pretty good run, overall -- Nearing 14½, and the last surviving member of a litter of 5. Main concern is that he's very recently stopped eating, or is eating very little. There was a similar change in his sister RJ, who died this past summer, and I'm mentally preparing for one of three possibilities: He'll go outside and just not come back; I'll come home from work to find him dead; or he'll be in pain and I'll have to take him to the vet to have him euthanized.

I was indeed in Oregon for the Boise State at Oregon State game the weekend of Sep 24th.
Didn't get to meet up with anyone though.
