LOL, definitely heard a passing vehicle hit something a while back, but never found a dead critter at the time.
Well,
today, there is a mighty stench in the vicinity, so went looking and I found a dead doe.
The weird part is, it's nowhere near the hiway, and seriously uphill from it too. Hard to imagine a fatal injury, but not so immediately fatal as to allow the deer time to move so far upslope from the road ??
And it's stinky enough, I'm not eager to get too close to evaluate it's injuries. Compounding the eeriness, the deer, despite being dead a week, hasn't been noticeably chewed on by anything.
WTF ??

Exhausted. I pulled an all-nighter, literally. It is almost 5am and I got zero sleep. Worked on a pre-trial memorandum that ended up being six pages long and a parenting plan that was seven pages long. Lots of revisions. Four copies. I'm tired. I want to sleep but at the present moment, it's not happening.
