Listening to jazz on the radio (KCSM.org) and sampling these Halls Intense Cool drops (black bag). I feel like my nasal passages are about to be frostbitten now.

Insomnia last night, so I'm self medicating for a sleep aid with Pinot Grigio. I'd still only be on my first bottle, but that ribeye I made for lunch needed washing down. (Yes, bad pairing...like I shiv a git.)
Ah, Bacchus...the one god I can get behind. Platonically, that is.

Washing down a buffalo burger (medium) with a couple glasses of Trappist ale. Best thing to come out of Christianity, that.

Break time. I tire so quickly these days. I need to get back to doing Tai Chi, but instruction is expensive, and I'm basically too lazy to get back into it without some external reinforcement. It would probably help my sleep a lot.

Had not even arrived at home before I had an email about some "URGENT" problem that will likely be waiting for me Monday morning. Oh well. Last week of this month we're heading to Ohio to house-hunt, and once I close I'm going to hand my boss a letter that I suspect he's really really REALLY not going to enjoy reading. I'll have to mask just how much I will enjoy handing it to him, though.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
-Stephen Jay Gould
