6 weeks in a straight brace, and then about 6-9 months of pretty hardcore PT.
My PT protocol was a lot different than it would be now, though. I was trying to even out atrophy with a huge focus on strength/ROM. Now I would be focusing almost solely on ROM, and the push point wouldn't be so far.

You're just full of good news today.

When I tore the meniscus I threw up three times from the pain. I mean I couldn't even take off my shoe. My knee wouldn't bend past about 150°, and I was on crutches. After the surgery, yeah the first couple of weeks were rough, 6 weeks in a straight brace was terrible. But the pain was gone pretty quickly, and I was walking without pain or crutches pretty quickly. The PT was rough in a good way (for me). When your goal in PT is to get back to Division I athletic shape, it takes a lot. If your goal is to make it so you can do your daily schedule without pain or limitation, then it will not be as intense.

My goal is to get back to a healthy exercise regiment and to be able to hike and scuba. I'm kind of surprised to hear it hurt as much as it did for you. The accident was back in September, I've been walking on it since. Not the 5-10 miles a day I was doing, obviously. There's just certain motions that are quite painful - at the time of the accident, the abrasion hurt more. They didn't suspect anything more than a mild ligament sprain until recently. I'm quite surprised that there can be as much damage as there is with the pain level I have.
Yeah I couldn't walk without crutches. Any sort of impact or pressure on a straightened leg was excruciating. I had surgery within two weeks of the injury.

Just having a cup of tea like every other Brit.
Looking at the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga tables.

Just switched over to watch the last 2 minutes of Bold & Beautiful! (before the 5:00pm news).
Just saw a psycho lady bludgeon another lady to death with a candle stick! All for giving her husband a peck on the lips. Don't know if this is current or 9 years old! I'm sure there's some ladies here who follow it! (It's ok, I wouldn't admit it either)
No God, No fear.
Know God, Know fear.
Tanner is snoring so loudly right now. I don't want to wake him up, but I can't fall asleep.
