In a meeting a little while back.

...when my phone starts ringing REALLY loudly.

So…..  It sort of happened again.

Only this time it wasn’t a building fire, it was the alarm testing guys that burst the pipe and flooded our office.

It got our archives this time; about 150 projects documents are either damaged or still need to be checked.


The water got trapped above the brand new vapor barrier covering our ceiling, which also means that our brand new ceiling insulation is soaked through with water again.


And to top it all off, I had literally been in the building for about 10 minutes before the alarms started going off, I had JUST been told about two big project deadlines and a meeting my PM needs drawings for this week, and it’s Doggy Days so in between helping drain the ceiling water, the asshole alarm testing guys kept setting the fire alarms off so I kept having to take the dog outside where it was pouring down rain.  I got nothing done until 1pm.

One of my roommates is now demanding that I move out this summer because he's an "introvert" and expects an adequate amount of "alone time" everyday. He said since he and I come home usually at the same time on weekdays at 5pm he doesn't get his "alone time". He thinks I shouldn't come home until 8 or 9pm like our other roommate so he can have the whole house in the evening to himself. I'm not exagerating. I'm not reading between the lines. This is what he told me. Wtf?! All I do in the evenings is cook dinner and go up into my room (which is on another floor of the house I might add). I'm not moving out over something that's only his problem.

He can't be that bad.

About 16 inches I think, and not supposed to stop for another 4 or 5 hours. Also 30 mph winds.

Where are you? I'm about 30 miles south of Harrisburg. If you aren't that far away, we should do lunch sometime.
