Craptastic. I hooked up my new cable tv service, and..... nothing. The set top box won't boot up. So I've got to wait until Friday when they install some kind of signal booster, then I can try again. I hate this.

"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable."

This site is now "fully" encrypted by using a secure connection. That can be seen in the URL, the site's address, which begins with "https". That 's' means secure.

When you get an image from some other site, it should have that https on the address, keeping the whole AF secure. Browsers, nowadays, will even complain if you have non secure items in a secure site, as that can be a vulnerability of the site.

To make our lives easier, Tiberius implemented an automated thing that, when we put an image address that's not secure, it channels that image through a secure "proxy" site.
Unfortunately, that "proxy" site doesn't handle animated gifs, so you're left with a static gif... Still, better than a broken image, but not ideal.

Nowadays, most image hosting sites have an https counterpart, so, if you don't see this secure part on the address, try adding "https://" at the start. If the image hosting sites supports it, you're ready to go.
If not, I suggest you upload your gif to one that does support https. Imgur and photobucket do it. Tinypic doesn't.
