RE: What's everyone up to right now?

Computer decided to pull a fast one on me, this morning...
PC> Dual screens?.... nah, brah... your HDMI one is ok, but the DVI connection?.... let's ignore that one, ok?
poca> NOOO!!! Not cool!
I'm telling you linux, if you don't cut that crap, I'm going to windows!
LINUX> neener, neener.... hehe your pitiful reboot did nothing to bring back the second monitor, did it?
poca> Right, that's it, Windows!
WIN> this win7 remote logon service sure is taking a long time to do anything...
poca> GODDAMNIT, these idiots moved on to win10 and now this old win7 that I hadn't used in months no longer lets me logon because of the remote credentials?!!? BAHHH!!H!H!
Pull out the HDMI cord, then... see if linux likes it!
LINUX> dvi works fine, what are you on about?
poca> plug hdmi back on, reboot
LINUX> hey look, two screens, how cool!
poca> logs on
LINUX> yeah.... there was a second screen at the logon point, wasn't there? so I turned it off. No need to thank me.
poca> well turn it back on, damn you!!
LINUX> a'ight, brah, don't sweat it. Look, two screens on..... OOOOPS
poca> there's only one screen, linux, and it's shifted by half the screen... the mouse cursor moves, but nothing happens when I click anywhere...
LINUX> Have you tried turning it off and on again?
poca> CTRL+ALT+Backspace
LINUX> oh, look, I have two screens!
poca> log on!
LINUX> Hey, so I turned off the second screen. You didn't want it on, anyway, did you?
poca> Why, you little..... >( .... Let's fiddle with the desktop wallpaper configurations... and end up back at the original one. Turn on the second screen and hit "apply"
LINUX> Are you happy with these new settings?
poca> YES, finally, YES!
All is back to normal in linux land... I'm still a bit worried about that windows logon thing, but work is calling.
