Trying to sell my barely used (as in, 10 hours, tops), like new Surface Pro 3. It's a nice piece of kit, but its kickstand is an accessibility hurdle. Once it's sold, I'll use that money to repay (+ interest) my mom who spotted me about half the price of the Dell XPS 13 that's arriving tomorrow.
With my 20+ year fight with pressure sores, and my hips becoming increasingly painful, it's gotten somewhat difficult to sit at the desktop and actually concentrate on real things. The laptop will allow me to work/continue work (hooray Git) while sitting in my bed. Given how my body works, and how I need things to be set up logistically, that's something the Surface simply couldn't do.
I'm excited, not just because it's a new toy to play with, but because it'll allow me to brush up on my skills. I'm about a decade behind with JavaScript, I need to learn Docker. I haven't touched C++ in probably 15+ years... I have a lot of catching up to do.

Worked out a little and then read a chapter of "Sophie's World" by Jostein Gaarder. I've given up trying to remember the names and beliefs of all the Greek philosophers talked about. I'll absorb what I absorb.

It looks like my SP3 sold. Got a good offer on eBay. Hopefully it's legit, and I can be free of it.
The XPS 13 is a sexy little thing. About the same dimensions of a Surface tablet, but having an actually stiff hinged keyboard so I can rest it on my chair's tray or my lap when in bed is civilization.
