Back now. Had enough of listening to some knobend thanking Jesus for everything. Makes my blood boil.
That nonsense will not be happening when I cash in my chips. (January 31, 2018 at 12:01 pm)Cod Wrote: Back now. Had enough of listening to some knobend thanking Jesus for everything. I don't know that I would care seeing as how funerals are meant to be a solace to the family and friends left behind. My family isn't that religious anyway. The pisser for me is when the family specifically asks for something of the person leading the proceedings and that person deliberately fucks it up. For instance, my best friend's grandfather, who was Catholic, died, and they specifically asked for a reading with specific wording that their grandfather liked. The priest did the reading and then went on to reinterpret its meaning right in front of everyone and pissed the entire family off.

Going to the doctor later.

Just finished reading, with horrified fascination, the tentative duty schedule for work this weekend. We have an unusual number of ships currently in port, and it looks like everything will be moving Saturday and Sunday.
I might as well kiss the wife and dogs at 5:30 pm Friday and wish them well. I don't think I'll see much of them until Monday evening. I'm glad I got the oil changed and the water pump replaced last weekend. OT and obscene mileage . . . here I come! This could easily be a $1000 weekend.
I'm packing ... tomorrow I'm setting off on my journey of life hehe😛
but honestly.. i'm tired and i'm not so happy at all...

It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery each day."
Watching yet another Nicholas Cage movie on TV. That makes three in as many days. I'm planning to order wings and pizza after the movie, but dang I'm hungry now.

Took my stool sample joke to the wood carving class. Everybody liked it; I have orders for 10 or so. As a reminder, here is what it looks like-

^ Still can't figure out why you need a Swiss army knife for a stool sample, Fireball. Looks painful.
