Practised clarinet and did some blogging earlier this afternoon, then went out for a coffee and a cinnamon bun.

Upon my return, worked on some tasks that I had been stalling on. Got some wood scraps out of the study closet (have to be taken down to the basement and broken into smaller pieces for disposal). Fastened a small piece of drywall to the wall.

Currently working on a carrying bag, and just put a hard bottom in it. All it needs now is a side pocket and the carrying strap, and then I can put stuff in it.

Also been there and done that - umbilical hernia repair, had it for years before doing the surgery. It wasn't too bad and the results made it definitely worth doing.

I had mine on a Friday, was back to work at Monday. I don't recall any significant difficulties, but of course YMMV.

Ah... mine was an inguinal hernia.... a bit further down.
Couldn't walk faster than a snail for a whole week.

Oh, yikes, yeah that had to be very painful. Mine was only painful when pressure was applied, and even then it wasn't terrible most of the time.
