I received an eviction notice today.  Apparently the building management lost my rent check, and so I had to pay an $18 late fee in addition to being threatened with eviction.  I think I know what happened, too.  We receive the invoices for rent in an unsealed window envelope, and we're supposed to enclose our rent in that envelope and leave it in the drop box.  The past two months, that envelope has been delivered to me sealed, so I couldn't reuse the envelope and had to substitute a non-window envelope.  Apparently that fucked things up some way.

That's pretty fucked up, especially if that was their only contact with you.

Received my new computer monitor and hooked it up to replace the old dead one. I am so glad to be back on my desktop, and no longer have to rely on that netbook. It was slow as fuck. I spent most of my time staring at a "Firefox Not Responding" message.

I feel like a dinosaur with my desktop but I just can't get into those smaller computers. Especially handheld devices. I kind of wonder if desktops will soon go te way of the dodo (probs the makings of a thread of its own).

Making pizza for breakfast. Completely rearranging my day. Not sure how it's going to look.
