Considering whether or not to move my maters from the frame to the high tunnel...and whether I should pinch my peach blossoms now and aim for the fall (wild ass guesses about the whether in august, lol) or let it ride and sell spring peaches and have none in the fall.
More than anything..procrastinating, because I like you fuckers better than work....but I really need to unplug and dig some holes, lol. I get fingerlings next week..I may post pictures. They're cute when they're little.

I received an eviction notice today. Apparently the building management lost my rent check, and so I had to pay an $18 late fee in addition to being threatened with eviction. I think I know what happened, too. We receive the invoices for rent in an unsealed window envelope, and we're supposed to enclose our rent in that envelope and leave it in the drop box. The past two months, that envelope has been delivered to me sealed, so I couldn't reuse the envelope and had to substitute a non-window envelope. Apparently that fucked things up some way.

I'm sorry you live in a building managed by imbeciles. I assume they have acknowledged a mistake on their end and have withdrawn their threat of eviction?

That's pretty fucked up, especially if that was their only contact with you. Next sealed one you receive (hopefully none) cut one end open and slide the check in. Tape if needed. (I'd be tempted to write "assholes" in the memo line of the check)
