Currently watching Dill, one of the cats, run back and forth from the kitchen to the living room, attacking the carpet and the couch, leaping through the air, all with a very puffy tail.
Yeah - the wild child is awake now.

Finished filling a 10-yard (18 feet by 8 feet by 2 feet deep) dumpster with the old concrete block wall pieces and tons of dirt. My back is killing me. Three days of back-breaking labor. Now to order several tons of blocks and pavers to put the front yard back into shape. Next time, if ever, I'll hire it done. Since this stuff was 50 years old, I can safely say I won't be doing it again.

I normally find myself lurking or posting in the mist of cooking.

Is the mist you get during cooking dark and billowing? Sometimes accompanied by flames?
If so, that's not mist..

Don't you just love retirement! lol! I'm not far off. Looking forward to it.

Ah -- a case of the Zooms, also known as the Midnight Crazies. Ludwig, my now-deceased Evil Genius Fluffy White Cat, used to let out a bloodcurdling meow, go bolting up two flights of stairs, meow again, and then come wandering down and pretend that nothing the least bit out of the ordinary had occurred.
Had the day off work as part of the Easter weekend. Went to my clarinet lesson, hung out at a coffee shop at the mall, honked a bit on my bass clarinet when I got home, did a bit of sewing.

I will admit that I enslaved the two stay-at-home sons to help move all that dirt. I think it was like 50% from my middle son, 30% from me and 20% from my youngest son, in terms of the amount of work done. I was back at it this morning, until my back just couldn't take any more, even while wearing my back brace and having taken some Naproxen. The rest will go out in the regular trash over the course of the next few weeks, because I'm having that dumpster taken away tomorrow. I've posted signs that video is being recorded (true), so that people don't dump unlawful stuff, but I'm still concerned about that.
Ig, I'll tell you that retirement seems to be more work than regular work was. Go figure.
