What's everyone up to right now?

Went back to school to retrieve my final project (the long-touted tax return I spent the better part of a fortnight trying to make sense of). The teacher's handwriting is hard to read, but it appears I got a good grade. Apparently, I got a perfect score (200/200, if I'm interpreting his scrawl properly, and I'm not sure such a thing is possible) despite the fact that I didn't include all the forms, but it appears that the alternatives I managed to do (or at least the explanations I gave on my "tax issues" paper for them) were enough to compensate. Total score for the semester: 594/600. And all this for an assignment that's earned about five Coppolas out of an allowance of six.

Went to writer's group, then my daughter and I did some epic grocery shopping. (Apparently the coming week's menu involves some combination of butternut squash, spanakopita, jambalaya, and bulletproof coffee.)
You certainly are an international cook Astreja...
I love spanakopita! yum.... then again, I haven't met a greek who doesn't.

Just finished a 13 hr shift and glad to be home.
The last four hours was respite and my client was already asleep when I got there. Getting paid to watch tv is sooo much better than cheffing. (May 11, 2018 at 9:02 am)Little lunch Wrote: Just finished a 13 hr shift and glad to be home. So no unconscious sponge bath then?
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
In that between time when you wonder whether you should go back to bed, or just stay up the remaining few hours before your day starts.

Came down with the sore throat that's been going around. Gargling peroxide and saline (two separate gargles) to create an inhospitable environment for the germs. My wife and her mother had it first, and it lasted them a couple weeks each.

I haven't been round long enough here to be entrusted to the 24 hr units. Not that I want to be but you get a more permanent roster that way. I find I'm mostly being utilised for my cooking skills at the moment. There's a lot of great carers that just can't cook for shit and have no idea how to be economical or efficient. |
