I'm doing laundry and drinking coffee. Going to take Sofia to an art museum to see an installation that I think she'll like and will walk along the American River nearby to take in the sights and some sunshine.
I'm also worked up into a lather at the moment about selling my rental property. It went on the market last Sunday, I got 2 offers by Tuesday and now we're in escrow with a cash buyer and a 10 day close. Woot! Fingers crossed that the deal closes smoothly.

I pretty much got everything I wanted on this last cycle, a struggle, an adventure away from people, away from roads, houses all that stuff.  I got a huge stretch of woods, huge stretches of hills, a reservoir at the bottom of it all.

I mean hugeness is relative, we don't really have vast woods up here in the north west of England if you're comparing to places in America or Scotland, but I could basically cycle and walk for an hour or so and only see 1 or 2 people. Most the time I could see over vast areas of space and see no one at all which was pretty surprising because of how nice it is outside today. 

If I could relate the how parts of the area looked to films, it would be the texas chainsaw massacre, the blair witch project, and the upper parts of the hills looked like some pictures that would go along with some biblical tale.

Chopped up four pallets that the blocks and concrete for my new wall were delivered on. Going into the recycle bin to be made into mulch, except for the painted parts, which are just trash. I should have put a sign on them saying "$5 each", someone would have stolen them. True story- a gal I know put an old fridge out front for someone to take, with a sign saying it was free. It sat there for days, so she put a sign on it asking for $50; it was gone in less than an hour, and nobody came to the door to give her any money.   People would rather steal, I guess.

Just read about the massive walkouts during the premiere of Lars Von Trier's new movie at Cannes; those who didn't walk out gave the film a standing ovation.
