I wish I had golf course dogs. Not enough geese around here to make it pay.

Just tuned in to the Denver / KC game as Royce Freeman bulled his way through a bunch of Chiefs and into the end zone to tie it up at 10 all.
Planning to make some more Hamburger Helper after the game. Lasagna flavor. I remember Hamburger Helper being tomato-y, but all the flavors seem to emphasize cheese these days.

That reference to Bleak House I made when thinking about the Stairway to Heaven plagiarism lawsuit made me think back to my memories of watching the 2005 version and being disappointed that the one thing I remembered from the book (Krook’s spontaneous combustion) didn’t seem to be included. To be fair, I looked back at Episode 4 on Hulu. It turns out it happens about 30 minutes in, and, sadly, while we don’t see the old drunk writhing about on randomly appearing fire, we see him looking over old documents while complaining about heat and then seeing a brief fireball through his less than transparent shop window. Yes, I know that Dickens doesn’t dwell on the actual scene, but you made Esther a bit less insufferable, so why not show the goddam fire?
Better Call Saul did that “barely seeing the fire” conceit better (spoilers: last scene of Season 3.)

I totally thought the goose that swoops in a 0:42 from the right was going to pick the dog up and drop it in the water

I think the title of this video constitutes a spoiler all on its own.
Guess it'll be another few months before I start Better Call Saul so I forget this spoiler.
Hey, look at that! I've already forgotten it.

Brewing a pot of pumpkin spice coffee. I don't normally drink coffee in the afternoon, but being a flavored coffee, I'm making an exception.
I've ordered some Community Coffees Special Cafe decaf coffee from Amazon for that purpose.

I just got back from playing Mahjong at the local Senior Center. It's been raining all day and I feel chilled to the bone. I'm making coffee and deciding what to have for supper.

Pissed off.
Governments say they want to encourage entrepreneurs and small businesses.
But the moment I apply for a business licence for Beccs High Street Assisted Suicide and Body Disposal Shop and Gourmet Restaurant I get turned down.
Apparently half of that is "illegal"!
Seriously?? Since when have restaurants been illegal?
