I decided to go to work, since it turned out the store still had full power and my home didn't. Then I got a call about 2:25 saying that we finally got power back.

Reviewing my security camera footage. Some guy came to the door asking me to move my truck so that he could do some work on the curb. I put my truck in the driveway because I wanted to replace some weepy transmission cooler hoses, but no curb work was done. I suspect that the guy is going door to door casing places. There is work going on to bring more intersections up to meet the ADA requirements. I'll tell my neighbors on the corners and the other ones who are home to keep their eyes peeled. I'll also take the footage to the cop shop after my son gets home and I put the footage on a thumb drive, to see if the guy is a known criminal. I don't have a thumb drive, as I gave it to my wife and it disappeared into the pit known as "the sewing room".

Update- I went to talk to my neighbors about this guy, in case he's casing houses. My neighbor on the corner on the opposite side of the street said the guy came down his side of the street with a hoodie pulled over his head, and then pulled it down off his head when he got to my house. (I have neighbors further up the street with cameras out, as well). He was then walking around my old truck. My neighbor walked over to him and asked if he needed something. Not shy, that neighbor. He said nothing about buying the truck. The guy then went up to the house and asked me to move it, as above. What I'm thinking now is that he wants to steal the truck and wanted to see if it was ambulatory. Well, it was. It's in the driveway now, disabled three ways, with a car parked behind it in the street. By the time he could steal it, there would be about a gig of pics on the hard drive. And the doors to the garage, where the controller with the hard drive is located aren't just locked, they are bolted shut at night. That, after I caught a different person casing the place for tools, of which I have about...some large amount of money in. Nope, not even telling you guys. Still taking a movie sequence up to the cop shop in the morning, to see if they know who he is.
