Having a discussion with a manufacturer that put undersized pneumatic rams in for a 60" 750 lb. lift. It should have been a 3" bore with a 1-3/8" push rod. They used a 2" bore and a 5/8" push rod. It's an $20k fix to replace all ten of the rams. I am trying to explain to them that $20k is only a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of having one of them fail and someone get injured or killed.

I been having issue with sleep as well....brain simply does not want to shut off. Also, my bouts with depression have not been helping. As for dreams, mine have been odd.

I had to do that a couple months ago; cleaning clogged drains is nasty.

I know exactly why I've been having sleep issues: Sochi.
Staying up late watching olympics sucks. I hate when they put the thing you want to see at the very end of the program. Put ski jumping in the 10-11pm hour, no one cares about that.

Getting back into my regular routine. Today has been kind of tough and weird, but it's almost halfway over.

Beautiful story from a friend: her 6yr old boy Alan wanted to buy a big valentines bouquet for his teacher. His mum discouraged him but he was having none of it, and paid for it from his pocket money. He insisted on carrying it home and went in early the next day to present it to his teacher. She asked who they were for, and he said "who do you think?"
It's no wonder primary teachers love their jobs so much.

Hey! Me too. It's almost 8AM and I feel tired, but as soon as I get a little sleep the nightmares begin. NO more than an hour of sleep all night.
I don't often get nightmares - rather surprising, actually - but I had a couple of doozies last week. In one, I was settling down to sleep in our bed, all by myself, when I realised the bedroom door had opened and some evil unseen
thing had come in and was trying to 'possess' me. I actually woke myself up screaming "get out of my head!" at full volume. Fuck knows what the neighbours must have thought.
The other one also saw me waking up screaming, this time for help, but I found it so intriguing I'm working it into a short story. Watch this space.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
