Sounds like what I've been doing: A couple years ago my firm put together new Fire Life Safety drawing standards for a local hospital and this is our first go doing the updates for their 2014 Life Safety set... and the architect they've been working with apparently looked at the standards, then put a lighter to them.
We reviewed what they sent us to do the updates and we sent them back saying they weren't following the standards and that they needed to follow the standards we informed them of
two years ago when they came to our office to learn what the standards were, and what did they do? They sent us the same thing a second time with an email that basically said "This is what we're giving you because we don't want to have to do the work to follow the new hospital standards. Fuck you very much! XOXO"
My coworker and I are sitting down with our boss today to talk about how we want to tell the client that their architect didn't do the work he paid them for so now he has to pay us to do it.

Nothing much. Drinking coffee and thinking and laying around. I have an idea for a thread based off of Morgan's indoctrination thread and I have some new ideas that might explain the evolutionary robustness of biases like the backfire effect. But I so lazy. I have no idea whether I'll write up my new ideas. I also have some thoughts on the shakiness and irrationality of belief without evidence, but again, I so lazy.

Just finished watching the first episode of a Korean drama that was really popular. If the first episode is any indication, I understand why it was so popular. I just noticed I've got to go to the library tomorrow to pick up the DVD set of "The Blue Planet," and I've got stuff to return to a library in the suburbs by Tuesday. Maybe I should combine tasks.
Feeling rather lazy tonight. Listening to music (Foxy Shazam) and drinking coffee.
