Apparently, Fox is filming a show called next at the same block as the candy store where I work. Apparently, the Chase bank on the corner is going to sub in for the FBI. I know this because of the flyers posted on the front door. The boss and I have both agreed that, while the store is likely to stay open, if it becomes too much of a logistical hassle, I have his permission to stay home, especially tomorrow, when I have an extremely tight deadline to go to Des Plaines to hand in my final exam.

And by an extraordinary coincidence, it's also a few blocks from an El station. And I spent quite a bit of time at the Leonard Bernstein exhibit at Ravinia last summer (though the only LB concert I went to was On the Waterfront).
Also, the vocal line is a lot more avant-garde than I expect from Lenny.

Well, something weird happened this morning: I run my laptop on Windows 10, and apparently, Microsoft bundled an Xbox game bar with the OS. I found this out this morning because, somehow, it got triggered, and, after a few minutes' worth of trying to figure out how to turn it off, I went into settings/gaming and turned off the gaming bar. Malwarebytes and Defender found nothing unusual.
This week in the Deep Hurting Project, for the first time since my first round of films, I have to skip a genre (specifically Action/Adventure) because neither of the films left (Nazi Overlord and Reprisal) were available. So, I skipped to comedy, specifically, one of the two Christmas films left in the Project: Christmas in Wonderland, which is apparently a 95-minute commercial for the West Edmonton Mall. And, just to make sure I get to it before the Christmas movies go back into storage, I'll have to skip another genre in two weeks so I can watch A Christmas Story 2.
And, about that show next which is supposedly filming on the same block as my workplace, they never showed up.

Well, the body pillow arrived today. Sadly, the Alison Lohman waifu pillow cover hasn’t had any updates since I ordered it last Tuesday.

Back from an afternoon of killing paper at the gun range. Averaged out to 195+/200, so I'm slipping. Need to figure that out.

Okay, I feel okay enough to tell you guys this: on the way back home from work today, I blew out a tire while attempting to merge onto a lane after a failed attempt at a left turn (because to get home directly, I have to try and make a left turn at an uncontrolled intersection, one where long convoys of cars are liable to cross.) After figuring out that they weren't going to let me pass, I decided to take the roundabout way back home. And, because it was dark when I tried to merge back into the proper lane and my headlights weren't enough, I managed to hit what I think is a traffic island. I was left unhurt, but deeply shaken. I managed to make it home, but it was veering left, and it kept showing that one of the doors was open, even though it wasn't (I tried slamming each door three times when I got home, and nothing changed.)
I hope to Hell this doesn't mean my car is totaled, though Dad says it shouldn’t be. He also investigated the traffic island, and he points out that the island is really inconspicuous (he barely saw it until he was right on it, and he was looking for it), but very sharp and poorly placed without even meridian yellow paint or proper lighting. I think we’ll complain to the village’s streets department.
