Mental health has not been the best lately... uninstalled literally every social media app imaginable, planning on staying away for a week or so to see if it helps. And then made iced coffee. That certainly helped .
It seems unwise to stay away from social media right now when without it my parents are literally the only people I will interact with (*cue screams from all three of us*) but I've found short breaks to help in the past. Hopefully this time is no exception.
That and it has suddenly gotten hot in Oregon today... as a self-proclaimed anti-summerist I do not approve of these developments.

India is a perfect storm on the brink.
Me too. I know India's healthcare infrastructure would be completely overwhelmed if we have an outbreak of even half the magnitude of that in countries like the US and Italy. Slums would become hotspots and literally millions would die... I literally check the news first thing every morning to see if it's ok back there. So far, so good.

Right this minute, I'd probably want to be in India! half a million infections in the US. Yikes!
My prediction is the US will have as many or more infections as the rest of the world in about a month.
Only to be overtaken by India a month after that. But I'm not sure how well India will document cases.

"Frost", eh? Is that what they're calling it now?

A lot of the mild cases in India will likely go untested. People who can afford to rest at home will try to avoid hospitals for fear of getting sicker... I know i would if I was there. As for being in India right now, it's peak summer and hitting 40 C in my city. Ithinkthefucknot. However, people who're there right now are saying that because of the strict lockdown, everything is silent and calm, much less air pollution etc. Out of pure curiosity, I do wish I was there to experience that. Also, my dog is there. But nah, overall I think shit's likely to get very scary very fast there if containment measures fail. Fingers crossed though

I'm on a week stand down at work for punching out my boss.
He was doing staff assignments and he said he might have to put me in an ambulance.
Apparently I misunderstood...

Also, I just ordered myself an inexpensive kalimba (Key of C, Treble-sized, A432) from KalimbaMagic.

When you say treble sized, do you mean that the range of the instrument sits in the treble clef?

Well, there's two standard sizes to kalimbas. At least the Hugh Tracy models that became popular (such as they are) to the West:
One is Alto, two octaves G3 to G5. Dimensions 8.5x5.5x1.5.
The other is Treble, two octaves plus a major/minor third. Hugh Tracy's standard models are tuned B3 to D6 (key of G, oddly enough), but there is a bit more variety in the tuning. Maurice White kept his in an A minor pentatonic scale (with some redundant notes), and the one I ordered is in C (range: C4 to E6). Its dimensions: 7x5x1.25.
For the record, here's Maurice White playing his:
The one I ordered is more like this:
So, it's a bit more complicated than it just sitting on the treble clef, but it is kinda accurate.
For a more audiovisual comparison, see this video, although, full disclosure, both the treble and alto kalimbas have been retuned significantly (the alto is a step lower to F, and the treble is basically tuned up one and a half [with the C notes up two full steps] to what is basically a D minor tuning, which is enharmonic to F):
