What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Didn't even feel it up here.  Even when we get 'em this far north, we don't even notice unless stuff falls off the shelves.  Once we determine the cats aren't responsible, it's, 'Huh.  Musta been a quake.'

I took a 2-hour nap this afternoon and woke up feeling super logy. Strong coffee doesn't seem to help. I might have to relax in my easy chair and go back to sleep for another hour.  Alarm

I'm going on Tuesday to get tested for Covid-19, and the antibodies. I've had a productive cough for two weeks with no fever or loss of smell or taste, but last night I was pretty damned miserable, with serious shivering and had to pull two quilts on, and it was 70+ degrees in the house. I was OK in the morning except that I felt like I'd been dragged through a knothole. Two of my sons work in "essential" industries, and I'm betting that if I haven't already got it, I will.  Dodgy

I am pretty much convinced it was the virus that landed me in the ER the first part of February.  Felt bad on that Friday - fever, killer headache, and totally exhausted...by early Monday morning couldn't breathe to the point that we called an ambulance. Oxygen levels quite low.  IV fluids at the ER and steroids via IV then pills after I got home. After five days felt much better but those five days were not fun.  No antibiotics were prescribed.

Of course there wasn't testing done at that time.  There was really no explanation given as to what was wrong.

I hope that's what it was, since you seem to have recovered. And of course, if it wasn't a suspected bacterial infection, you wouldn't have gotten antibiotics, as you well know. I came down with West Nile many years ago, and actually killed the mosquito that nailed me. Not bad in terms of symptoms; when I went to the urgent care, the the doctor told me that if it got worse, just go to the ER. There is only palliative care for viruses, pretty much.

Glad you guys on the mend...

Nobody sick here - just me - with fricken poison ivy under my nose..... Was clearing a fenceline riddled with it - and blew my nose with a microfiber towel that must have gotten some on it from the chipper..

Whatta pain...

My son has a terrible time with poison ivy.  He is super sensitive to its ill effects.  I am not but have certainly witnessed the misery it can cause.

I too am glad to be on the mend.  I recently read the first confirmed COVID case in the US was on 2/12/2020.  I was in the ER on 2/10/2020.  I am pretty sure I had what would be seen as a mild case.  While mild, it wasn't pleasant.

Actually, America’s first confirmed case was on January 30.
