What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Having morning coffee while listening to distant thunder and a light rain pattering on the windowsill.  Coffee

You only need to worry if you wake up with a stiff. Coffee

Wondering if I'll make it to 1000 posts tonight, and if so, should I make a big fuss about it. I bought 4 litres of 5.4% lager. It's 18:00 and I'm ready for my second can. We shall see...

Diablo Panic Razz

ETA: I didn't buy the beer because of the impending 1000 post thing...now that would be sad  Hehe  it's a coincidence.

Drinking coffee and browsing the forums. My back hurts from installing a new toilet yesterday. Well, to be fair, my back hurt before I started. That's why I enlisted the help of one of my sons. The old piece of crap had a hairline crack (manufacturing defect- I could see where they put some sort of pucky on it to stop the leak) in the bowl, and was leaking water. Too bad I didn't look at the bottom of a brand-new toilet for manufacturing defects. I'd've taken it back and got a different one. I joked with the son that the spicy food he eats is allowed to boil the water, but cracking the bowl was going too far!

I'm thinking of replacing my bathroom suite. It's one of them jobs that you have to get right.. Our toilet is in a seperate room next door, I'm thinking about knocking through to make one big room.. Might need to move a radiator as well. I'll think about it and then talk myself out of it.

Is the door between the toilet and the rest of the room? I'd leave the door there so that when I'm fumigating the roaches the other person doesn't get gassed out. Though I did allow my wife to talk me into taking that door out. It's all her fault she has to smell it!

It's two seperate rooms mate. If I knock through I'll have to turn the bath along the long wall, move the sink and relocate the radiator. Big job which needs doing, but can I really be arsed.

That radiator makes for a lot of plumbing work- of course, so does moving the tub. My wife wanted a jacuzzi tub, so I blew out the fiberglass shower stall and put one in. Had to reroute the drain plumbing and make a hole in the wall of the bedroom to get it onto the bathroom with minimal cutting of studs. Grouting was a thrill- I had to toss mortar in, pack it up, rinse and repeat. It wouldn't do to have that fiberglass tub crack. For all the difference it makes. I did that work in '04-'05 and she hasn't used it as a tub (just a shower) but maybe 10 times in the intervening years.  Dodgy

And I will never change it out. We had custom tile work done, and it would have to be busted out to remove the tub.
