My father is the black out drunk who sees and talks to people who aren't there. Also, he's verbally abusive.
As for me, I'm the happy, sociable, talkative drunk.
Destructive.

Watching some videos online. Since our dog groomer is out of commission due to an accident I need to learn how to do it.
Ordered a grooming table, clippers, and a really good brush. I am hoping that after a couple years of watching the groomer do her thing and picking up some pointers online that I won't screw it up too badly.
I also factored in the cost of having someone else do it against the cost of supplies and I could save a bundle. Hopefully the dogs won't hate me too much after this.

You just KNOW the other dogs at the park are going to make fun of them.

I've already thought of that...when I think about the home haircuts from mom. Never has anyone's bangs been shorter or more crooked. *sigh*

My liquor store had a sale on ouzo in March, but my local store was out, so I went to my backup in Bloomington. I figured I'd get the ouzo and a bottle of Glenfarclas 21 at the same time. Despite their inventory showing six bottles in stock, there was no Glenfarclas 21 to be found. So I grabbed the ouzo and a sample bottle of Larceny and headed home. This morning I did some recalculating and almost pulled the trigger on a bottle of Laphroaig Triple Wood. But I'm not a big sherry fan, so I figure the Laphroaig 10 is a better bottle to cut my teeth on, and I can get that anytime. So instead I'm going with a bottle of Lagavulin 16 and a bottle of Chivas Regal 13, as the Chivas has been on my list a long time.

Okay - finished a first pass with the grooming experiment. I started on the smallest, most docile dog. I see a few places that need a touchup and I will need practice on the leg feathering and Grinch feet on the Cavaliers, but overall it went pretty well. I didn't shave her down as far as the groomer would have, figuring that I could always go shorter but not put back a too short cut.
I will need help with Ziggy the hoss. Just lifting him onto the table will be a chore. And Quinn is neurotic and he is full of cowlicks...saving them for another day.
At least the girl's mustache has been tamed. I think with some practice I will be able to do a passable job.

One of my chores as a kid was 'grooming' our collies. Not a patch on what you describe - just a good brushing out at the end of every day. I enjoyed it, as did the dogs (except for Towser, but Towser was kind of a dick).

Boru I was already bathing and brushing them. This is a giant leap from that.
Karm is husband's little princess so if I get chewed out when he gets home and sees her, I'll know I need more practice. Or he can give it a try.

You could get out of that - shave Karm completely, tell your husband you adopted a hairless cat.

Tonight was beef barciole. Very good but a pain in the ass to put together. 30 minute prep time my ass.
