Good news: Got my laptop back for now.

Bad news: The speaker works intermittently, and when it does work, it sounds like crap.

Good news: There's a new speaker coming for it.

Bad News: I have to wait another week to get it.

Good news: At least I get to use the laptop in the interim, even if I do have to keep weighing my options for external speakers.

Had a great visit with our friends - we met them in Mexico, they were there for three weeks to scout neighborhoods and as it turns out they live less than two hours away from our house in the USA - visited for close three hours and then anticlimactically drove the remaining 105 minutes home.

Watching The Greenaway Alphabet on Amazon Prime in my constant wonderings about whether or not I should try and take on The Draughtsman's Contract. At any rate, I'm becoming more and more convinced that Peter Greenaway actually does have an ASD. Or, maybe I should say more confirmed, since I'm extremely familiar with his debut feature The Falls and find it extremely hard to believe that a neurotypical mind would have ever bothered with anything like it:



At least, his daughter seems to be working under the assumption that he has one.

Running around like a blue arse fly buying shit for the new house. We'll get handover in 3 weeks. We're excited. We've been a bit bored for 12 months.
There's only so many club runs and long lunches you can have before you get sick of socializing too...
We've only half unpacked since renting here knowing we'll be moving again. It's never felt like home. Can't wait truthfully.
