Broke my 72 hour fast this morning (technically 84 hours but it was just three days). Omg, that was not a fun thing. However, my tastebuds are electrified with a new lease on life. I didn't have a filet to grill so I went with canned salmon and a can of mixed vegetables (I can't eat raw spinach or my leafy greens at this moment). I simply did the vegetables in a pan with coconut oil and garlic, with pepper. Holy crap this tastes good. Like, these things taste like they've been rolling in butter and garlic and the plain canned fish(drained) is hitting me with that vibrant meaty flavor salmon has.

It's one of those "medicine" foods that I tolerate because ingesting it is the easiest way to get the nutrients that I want from it. Just take your medicine, you know? Like beets.
Resetting the Echo Show in the bedroom. It's been misbehaving, with the alarm going off at the wrong time or not at all. Its software was out of date, maybe that's what it was.

Watching baseball. I'm a bit pooped tonight. I started mixing a cocktail, totally forgetting to put ice in the glass.

The battery for my phone’s been very iffy for the last couple months. When I went up to Door County, it got bad enough that I had to keep a couple battery packs around if/when it hit critical mass (and it could easily go from 100 to really fucking low in significantly less than an hour.) when I checked the battery’s status, I was told I had to service it. And today, I reminded Dad it needed to be looked at when I looked at a web page he texted me and, well, I’ll let this screenshot I took tell the story:
![]() It went from 100 to about 10 in less than two minutes and all I did was look at a single webpage. (It was on guitar player.com, for the record.) So, clearly there was something wrong. So, we took it to have the battery replaced. It took less than half an hour, and, as far as I can tell, it’s as good as new.

My renter's credit came this morning. $600. I guess I no longer need to worry about whether or not it will come.
