Same difference, with New Mexico. When I was driving back to California home after my Navy "A" School, I stopped in Gallup at a motel. The roach in the bathtub was on a par with the ones we used to use as "golf balls" in the basement of the barracks, back there in Illinois. We used broom sticks to whack them all over that basement. In retrospect, I'm really hoping that they didn't crawl on me while I was asleep. Probably a forlorn hope.  Panic

What did you write?

I wrote a 600 page novel about a young black woman in the 1950's who becomes the world's first superpowered human. Her power set is a scaled down Superman. Basic flight, strength, steel like skin.

Midway through the book, a big event is discovered and she's put in the position of saving the entire world. It's a lot to put on someone's shoulders.

There are lots of stories told throughout the main story.
It's an adult book with adult themes.

Title of the book is "Beyond Her"
Insanity - Doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result
