Aaaargh! Power is out at the office so getting payroll info isn't going to happen for a while...this may roll over into tomorrow and be a race to beat the deadline for submitting payroll.

A top of 27c (80.6 F) forecast for today. Right now it's beautiful outside, with a some wind, having already reached 27 (it's 0903). I suspect it might get warmer. I'll be staying inside until the wind abates, because it's just as easy to burn with a wind.

One complaint I'm always hearing from my fellow coworkers in this field is that their paychecks are always short. I've never personally experienced it, that I know, and I figure maybe it's because I'm not inspecting my paychecks with an eagle eye.

I have always tried to do payroll with the mindset of how I would want mine done.

A little aside as far as payroll goes...if you accidentally overpay someone, you will never hear about it from them, it will show up in balancing later or during an audit. If you short someone by a nickel, they will want your head on a spike.
