Trying not to worry about my truck, which threw a spark-plug today. This is a recent repair that went wrong, so it's still under warranty, but the shop (not my usual guy) was hard to deal with on the original repair and I'm busy worrying if they're gonna try to stiff me, or stick it to me.
Lying in bed on a cold Monday morning (public holiday and not on call), wondering if I should get up and dressed?
Duvet says, "NO!". Playing Cluedo with my mum while I was at Uni: "You did WHAT? With WHO? WHERE???" Pounding rain and thunder storm. The dogs are going wild.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.
Routed pipe for compressed air across the rafters in the garage. Got sick and tired of running a hose up and over cabinets to the work area. Need to return some pipe and buy some more. Once I got into it, I realized that I could do it with less pipe.

Watching Ferris Bueller on the 37th anniversary of the day it takes place. Unless it was in mid-September, but given all the talk about graduation and the fact that it’s his ninth sick day of the year, June seems more likely. Except he says he still has a few months before graduation while Cameron’s in his existential funk.

Fixed a sagging fence door, sort of.
Price inflation during Covid caused the contractor to use the cheapest lumber he could find to make the fence and the door. The wood warped and split, and nails and screws loosened, the door turned from a rectangle into a parallelogram under its own weigh. It’s bottom eventually dragged on the concrete walkway to the backyard and it will no longer open or close. Being too lazy to take the door off it’s hinges and trim the bottom, or better yet built a better door, I devised a turnbuckle and steel cable system running the longer diagonal of the parallelogram to two opposite corners, By tightening the turnbuckle I was able to force the door back into its original rectangular shape. To keep the door from sagging back into a parallelogram, i installed a castering wheel from a piece of damaged luggage under it to take the weight on the side away from the hinge. It now opens and closes smoothly. Never do a job well when doing a half assed job will kick the can down a good distance.
^ one of our neighbors has a gate like that. My gates are welded steel frames with 2 X 6 Con heart redwood for the stiles. I'm expecting to never having to replace them.
