Boru
All three are bathed and all three are a bit pissy with me.
Speaking of cats...mine bit the crap out of my hand the other night. In his defense I was messing with him and didn't move fast enough...I knew that claws or teeth would be deployed if I kept messing with him.

Getting organized so that I can finish the build on several computers. I cleaned off my former computer desk to use as a test bench. And now, as I feared, the CMOS battery on the file server needs replacing. Bleh.

Just so we're clear on this point. I don't want there to be any ambiguity. "Computers suck."
I've got a buttload of SATA power splitters, but this one application requires a right-angle SATA power plug and I don't have one. Argh!

An alternative would be what I usually do, go do the weekly shopping and then go for a wander around a local park, beach or beauty spot (though given my proximity to West Cork, local includes any destination I can drive to in two hours).

Sounds like a nice routine. My Sundays at this point generally involve getting some work, reading or watching done in the morning, then joining the family for lunch once they are done with their church things. After spending a bit of time with them (during which, by the way, they conspicuously avoid asking about religion or politics in any way - I think the recent answers to these questions, while not definitive, have scared them off the topics. As has the fact that I'm the only one present who was not in a church that morning), I generally do get those errands and shopping done. It's a little less important to get to that these days, since I work mostly at home and can get to all that anytime I feel like it.

Booting the SFF Lenovo computer that I plan to use in the bedroom. It doesn't like the graphics card I bought for it. There's $15 wasted. It's nice to see it boot after being idle for over a year.

All day, I have had to deal with people installing a new floor to the kitchen, because the tiles in the old floor got a bit water damaged. There’s been zero access to the kitchen all day and all I’ve had since I woke up is a single cookie and a bottle of water. Surprisingly, I’m not too hungry. However, it looks like they’re closing in on the end, because they’re finally reinstalling the fridge.

And on a side note, I briefly came close to something I was curious about since the first time I saw MST3K take on Eegah. Check it out: there’s an oven in the living room.

Just finished some takeout chicken chop suey. There's an Asian restaurant just down the street that I'd kind of overlooked because it's so familiar and it's the kind of restaurant that serves three distinctly different cuisines, all with an extra helping of kitsch. But my chop suey was good. They also serve pho. I'll try that next.
