My wife's oldest (32) is officially a mising person. The jail doesn't have him, nor the morgue, and none of the area hospitals will admit to having him. He was supposed to meet with the one friend who he hasn't burned bridges with, he never showed. That was a week ago. That's about the same time the messages his mom sent him were. Flagged 'seen', so we are assuming he hasn't seen them. He stopped responding last month.

I have a daughter that 'goes missing' sometimes for months, as far as contact goes.  That's been a thing since she left home after high school.  It's not that I don't worry (especially about her kids) but I had to learn not to drive myself nuts.  When the kids' birthdays come up I sure hear if a card and check from me is late.  Before Christmas I am contacted with a list of wants for the children.  In between, it can be weeks or, more likely, months.  And yeah...she is living on the edge as are most of her associates.

It's not easy.
