Figured out what was going wrong with my computer. It had a bad stick of RAM. I'm glad it is resolved now, but it sucked the wind out of this entire week.

Minus: damn near impossible to control. The most reliable tones I've been able to reliably get out of it are approximations of bird songs. Maybe if I can get an extension cord, I can power it outside to play a concert for the birds... which, from what I understand of what happens when one plays a bird's song back to it, will probably end like this:

Having a beer. I had intended to make a quick trip to Walmart, but midway there I became apprised of two bus cancellations and turned aside to grab some things locally. I'll go to Wally World tomorrow.
