Some people agonise over the decision to watch or read anything by anyone who’s shown themselves to be in some way problematic. And then, there’s some people who see them, say “fuck that noise”, and leap at the chance of buying a book written by an actual serial killer.

It was an honest mistake, which we, as human beings, sometimes make. Every surgeon, during their long careers, will admit to having killed at least one patient.

I apologize to the board. One thing that I miss from my days as a Catholic is the lack of forgiveness that I think typifies atheists. It's late CDT where I am at (Iowa), and I'm tired.

Went to the rental house yesterday. The renters finally moved out, just ahead of the sheriff. Re-keyed some locks and inspected. Needs a good scrubbing and a bunch of missing and/or broken blinds replaced, and a dumpster to fill with all the trash they left. Dishwasher has standing, stinky water in it. These people are pigs. Living there the last 6 months under the umbrella of the Covid moratorium (can't kick renters out) rent-free, i.e., just not paying, and getting away with it proves that.  Dodgy I bet they think they're going to get their security deposit back, too. We need to sell it soon or take the increased capital gains right in the shorts.
