Daylight saving time is playing havoc with things at the plasma donation center. A guy near me infiltrated, which happens when the vein gets nicked or punctured such that fluid returning to the body infiltrates the surrounding tissue. And apparently they've changed procedure. It used to be that if you had to be taken down early through no fault of your own, you still got paid. They gave the poor guy a measly $5 for his trouble. And they nearly had to switch arms with me. They adjusted the needle four times before getting it in a good spot. They had to switch arms on Friday due to a bad stick and I didn't want a repeat of that today.

I still have dimples in my arms from donating when I was at Purdue. I kept the checks until I had ten and then cashed them. The tellers were always going "most people cash them the same day!" I wasn't doing it for the money.

Relaxing today after doing a few household chores (washed the dishes, swept the floors, vacuumed the carpet, washed a load of towels). Now I am here after checking my e-mail, catching up on what I missed in these forums after not logging in here for the past three months or so. (Reason: I am sometimes forgetful and lazy, plus I game, which takes up more of my time than I should let it.)

Done with work for today. This is sort of an off week since there's no payroll.

Have to take Harley this afternoon for a vaccination. I thought she was done but she has one more booster. Then we are good till next year...for her anyway. Zig needs to go in later this month.
