Having an oatmeal stout. I do love a good oatmeal stout, and this Stockyard brand from Trader Joe's is surprisingly good and it's extremely cheap.

I lost a pair of gloves this morning. I got on the wrong bus, and in my rush to get off and run after the right bus, I forgot them on the seat. They needed to be replaced, but I'd rather not have lost the other pair. I was more worried about my hands since it was below 10° F this morning and my hands aren't as hardy as they were before the frostbite. But I kept them in my pockets and they were fine.

Is it my eyes, or are bags of candy getting smaller? I stopped by Lund's on the way home to get two bags of Reese's peanut butter eggs, seeing as they were a member special, and they're one of my favorite things in the whole wide world. But damn, the bags of them are small. At $3 a bag, I almost changed my mind. You can buy a lot more of some other sweets for the same amount of money.

I used to stop by the nearest TJs and pick up lunch stuff after my carving class. I haven't gotten any of their oatmeal stout in awhile. I like it, too. And yes, it's $2 for a Snickers bar these days.

Went out to feed the birds this AM and found the entrails of a rabbit (including a fetus) but no rabbit carcuss, just some fur.

Saw the neurosurgeon today - while he didn't specifically say so it appears to me that my insurer is going to have us to try all the other things before surgery. I'm all for avoiding surgery where possible, I'm just a lot salty that it's taken weeks and thousands out of pocket to basically obtain an rx for Flexeril and physical therapy.

Waiting for some guy from my health plan who is supposed to do some assessment. He's 15 minutes late. I swear, people in healthcare have no concept of keeping a schedule.
