Dad just told me that we might have to skip the annual trip up to Door County, because he's just feeling that bad. For the record, this annual trip has happened every year since I was born with the exception of 2020 (and that year, there was fuck-all open and thousands of anti-maskers wanting to pretend like there wasn't a plague going on.)

Hiding from the thunderstorms, dogs are nervous. We're getting the rain that we should have had in May and June. I hoping that the heat dome is broken.

Just finished my Zoom visit with my therapist. The past two days have been rocky and I didn't fall asleep until 4:00 A.M. this morning, so I was thinking of skipping it, but I didn't. I cleaned my old air fryer with oven cleaner yesterday and it looks like shit. I didn't want to spend $200 on a new one, but I found a used one that is the same model that I have now and is in like new condition for $100, so I ordered that. And then this morning I ordered sriracha sauce off Ebay. The picture shows three bottles, so for $40 for three bottles, I figured that would be acceptable. Reviewing my order, I realize it's for one bottle, not three, so I asked the seller to cancel the order. They did so almost immediately. (Whew!)

I love her so much. I talk to her every day on Discord. I got a whim, an idea and decided to follow through. Got some stationary. Got some stamps. Double checked with the gal at the post office how it's supposed to work because to be honest, I've never put anything IN the mailbox that could be sent with a stamp I applied myself.

Sent her the first one today. Just that I'm thinking of her. Full of feelings, not quite poetry, not quite journal entry. She doesn't know it is coming. I just went to get the mail. It's gone, flag was down. Looks like the post woman was right. Mail is working as intended. I am hoping it is seen as romantic. It feels so good to get mail, especially mail you're not expecting, especially if it has been a hard day. I hope she doesn't have hard days ahead but I do hope it makes her smile.

Aw crap. Tonight's game is on Apple TV again so it won't be on my MLB.tv subscription. I hate that. I thought we were done for the year. I guess I'll have to pirate it.
