What's everyone up to right now?

Went to see the local fireworks this Treason Day. We wanted to get food and the only option (besides three Italian Ices and a cotton candy stand) was a Taco Truck. Line was so long I couldn’t even enjoy my quesadillas until after the fireworks display was over. Now watching John Wick Chapter 4 with Alison.

Lately, my brain won't wind down so I can rest and sleep.

I blame the alien waves hitting me and disrupting my biological clock.

Just finished The Bail's birthday gift. I managed to find enough thread to finish the job.

Can't believe she will be 18 in just over a month.

Clearing floor space to put together my new standing desk. I will have my ILS worker help me with it.

In other news, I have yet to have a homemaker who could figure out how to put the broom & dustpan set back together the way they found it when they are done using it. I don't understand that.

I think I just bought another air fryer. My current one is 24L capacity, but it's been used hard. The same brand has one left of a newer, 30L unit that just dropped $100 in price. It's on hold until I can review things.

For the past couple weeks, Dad has been trying to find a head that actually fits this banjo he was gifted. Today, after two false starts, he actually got it.

Of course, there’s still stuff to do. Dad wants to polish the back before he puts that part back on for some reason. At least it gives me time to wait for the pickup button I plan to put on it. It should be here any day now.



And at least in the interim, it’s still playable. As I mentioned earlier, I’m setting it up for a sawmill tuning like in this song (and a bunch of others also in the Harry Smith Anthology):
