What's everyone up to right now?

Just got a call that younger daughter and her kids were in a bad car accident today. Kids are banged up, one has a couple stitches. Daughter has been taken to a trauma center. Now we wait to find out more. Granddaughter thinks her mom's legs may both be broken.

Okay, daughter broke her foot and compound fractured lower leg. Has a laceration of either a kidney or her liver. Husband spoke to her which is a good sign...but she was too loopy to tell him which leg/foot is injured and was unsure on which organ was lacerated. When her friend gets there I should get more info.

She's on her way to what will be the first surgery on her shattered foot. Broken ribs and lacerated liver to be dealt with. Grandson on his way home with his other grandparents. Granddaughter is with a family friend. Getting updates all around.

They were on their way home from grandson's baseball tournament. Truck hit her - T-boned. Not sure where the fault will be placed.

Not going to rush off as time will tell what she needs most.

How far away from you were they?

I'm in Dallas, they are in SC.  Currently in a town near the coast which is less than convenient all around.

Not sure where her phone is.  Her friend sent both a picture of what's left of her SUV and of her in the hospital bed prior to surgery.

Cheryl will keep me updated as will Trey's other grandmother.  I don't know if my daughter or granddaughter was driving but whoever was in the front passenger seat is lucky to be alive.

There's no reason for me to rush there as she is going to be drugged up and in the ICU for a while.  She's going to need help when she gets out.
