That's horrible. I hope they recover well!

What's everyone up to right now?

I don't think I mentioned that they were hit by a dump truck. That is not a fair fight.

Today, I managed to receive, and (after some trial and error) install the pickup button on the tenor banjo we recently acquired.

Update, as it stands. First surgery on leg/foot done late last night. There will be more in the future. She's apparently cut on both sides of her leg from knee to heel. Nose is broken and there is a spot on her lung they are watching. A chest full of broken ribs can cause some damage.
Granddaughter has black eye, is sore all over and a big knot on her head. Haven't heard about grandson but he will be well cared for by Nana Chelle and Papa Phil.

I "Liked" this for the update, not the carnage. ![]()

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles for your kin, awty, and hope things work out as best they can.
I'm donating plasma. I was sitting at home drinking coffee and I checked the bus schedule and there was a departure in 15 minutes, so I grabbed a quick shower and headed out. The route planner said that I'd wait 20 minutes in St. Paul to catch a bus that takes 45 minutes. I got to St. Paul and caught a bus that was just pulling in and only takes 35 minutes. So I'm here close to an hour earlier than I had planned. It's probably a futile quest, but there's a sriracha shortage on and I can hit four Asian grocery stores on the way home with little difficulty or wasted time. And if I don't find sriracha sauce, one has a medium bottle of Kewpie mayo at a good price. ![]()
I assume my granddaughter took this from the back an ambulance or in the firetruck.

I can hear construction workers from the nearby construction site yelling at each other about how they can see each other's bare asses. A few minutes later I heard one worker yell "I will fuck you in that ass."
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
